Three Distinctions were achieved in History of Art, Jewellery Design1 and Jewellery Techniques & Practical 1. The highlight of these years was being asked to design jewellery for a well known South African Fashion Designer, Colleen Eitzen, for the ’96 Durban Designer Collection. Final Aggregate Achieved: B (70% - 79%) Jan ’89 – Dec ’93 Danville Park Girls High School, Durban, South Africa A Senior Certificate and Exemption in 6 Higher Grade Matric Subjects (equivalent of A Levels) was achieved. Subjects taken were English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Art, Biology and Home Economics. During my final year I decided to concentrate on sculpture rather then painting and was given additional tutoring by a fine art student at Natal Technikon. I learnt various techniques such as “The Lost Wax Casting Process” and welding. During these years I received merits for Academics and was awarded Half Colours for Athletics while also participating in other sports such as Hockey, Squash and Volley Ball.
